Description

Engineer Ion D. Ghica (1874-1971) was the son of diplomat Dimitrie I. Ghica and the nephew of the revolutionary Ion Ghica. Trained as an engineer, he was named director of the Romanian Maritime Service. The album includes photos relating to the ships of this service (during their construction, with interiors and exteriors of the ships, passengers during some races, etc.), as well as a photographic portrait of the engineer on the first page. Two original photos are glued on the main cover of the album.
