Description

Information about Horea, Cloșca and Crișan's uprising comes from the Italian Caronni in his observations titled "In Dacia", which appeared in Milan in 1812. Two aspects of his accounts draw attention, concerning the similarity between the Romanian and Italian languages and the uprising in 1784. Regarding the latter, the author specified that Horea and Cloșca, the two rebel leaders, were killed in Deva, along with other accomplices, in order to suppress the uprising.
