Description

Encouraged to dedicate himself to art by painter Vlas Mikailovich Doroshevich, Alexander Altmann migrated in 1905 to Vienna, then to Paris—where, ultimately, through great sacrifices, he managed to attend the Julian Academy. As a result of his dedication, Alexander Altmann became a prolific painter of landscapes, still lifes, maritime scenes, and cityscapes, captured on the streets of Paris, which was also the place where he held his first exhibitions.
