Pierre (Pieter) Mortier (1661-1711) was a Dutch cartographer, engraver and publisher based in France who worked in Paris where he published his best known work, the nautical atlas 'Le Neptune François', in 1690. This piece was imprinted between 1698-1700. Engraving on copper, manually coloured after imprinting.
