Piliuță reveals his lyrical-reflective character through the creation of an imagistic repertoire that takes the form of deeply meditative paintings. His painting is discreet and elevated, and his drawing appears simple and well balanced. The artist gives special importance to the whiteness dimension, which he successfully translates into plastic material. He embroiders colors and synthesizes impressions, applies paint intuitively and achieves a notable juxtaposition between affective and intellectual. Evocative and meditative, he remembers and embeds in time the image of his native places, but also panoramas of the places he passes through. He takes on the characteristics of the French expressionists, focusing more on a unified ensemble and less on stylistic details. In Piliuță's work there is an evident luminous crescendo, especially in the final stage of his work. The artist focuses on outlining a fast universe, dedicated to the love of people and nature, in which he includes, through repetitions, horses, musicians or ballerinas, to which he gives new valences. He will also be concerned with the peaceful illustration of urban settlements, crossed by large, imposing buildings, small and narrow streets, trees or lanterns. Constantin Piliuță is not concerned with naturalistic imitation or the exuberant chromatic idealization used by his predecessors. He mainly relies on decorative-affective synthesis and the embedding of emotion in the lines and colors that charge the canvas.
