The composition "Gliding" by Nikolay Dyulgerov is distinguished by high artistic qualities and is emblematic of the artist's work. It is a geometric-abstract composition in the spirit of futurism, which elevates the cool aesthetics, speed and power of the machine into a cult. The sea theme has always been among Nikolay Dyulgerov's favorites. The composition "Gliding" has a strong decorative and scenographic impact, dynamized by the powerful movement of geometric forms, achieved through the use of wavy lines and concentric ellipses in a clear structural system. The overall dynamic impact is achieved through the strong contrasts between orange, blue and gray tones that we associate with coral and other bizarre forms in the deep sea. Nikolay Dyulgerov is one of the great names of futurism in world art history. We are proud and honored that this great artist is Bulgarian. But in Bulgaria he was not properly recognized, despite his love for his country. Most of the artist's life was spent in Italy - the homeland of futurism, in the circle of Italian futurists and the ideologist of the movement, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. Nikolay Dyulgerov is among the innovators in the field of abstraction, collages with polymaterials, interior design and futuristic architecture. (S.N.)"
