His landscapes from Bulgaria are preserved, which are completely in the spirit of the classical realistic landscape. who studies the difficult and capricious technique of watercolor. The composition "Morning Mist" is performed in the transparent-silver range characteristic of his early works. which are extremely rare and are very valuable to connoisseurs because they show the process of building the plastic language of the author. They show a stage on the way to reaching his individual style, which is well known to the public. In the early works of the late 1950s and early 1960s, his painting is delicate and chamber. In the following decades, Genko Genkov created landscape compositions in bright color combinations, which became an emblem of his style.
