One of the most long-lived representatives of surrealist painting, Jules Perahim will unfold his creation around an alternative world, where the dreamlike, timeless space and the unreal become the new mottos. After emigrating to France in 1969, the artist devoted himself to a mystical, fantastic, abstract and sometimes lyrical surrealism, developing his compositions around the metaphysical concept. His decisive turn towards painting, towards innovative forms of expression made him an increasingly unique exponent. In 1986 he was present with three paintings at the "Arte et Alchimia" exhibition organized by Arturo Schwartz in the central pavilion of the Venice Biennale and at the "Linéart" International Art Fair in Ghent (Belgium).
