His artistic beginnings are mainly related to graphics, the transition to painting being marked by a certain colour challenge, which the artist would eventually overcome through extensive practice. He travels a lot to Paris, where he discovers a different, more disengaged type of art compared to the one in Bavaria. Paris would go on to serve as his inspiration for many works. He becomes interested in sceneries and uses reality as his source of inspiration, but refuses to depict it in its entirety. Iser subjectively redesigns a fragment of everyday life at a time. "Jardin des Tuileries" is an expressive portrayal of nature, a mixture of light and colour where human silhouettes appear indistinct and fluctuating and the trees are clothed in a dense green nuanced with dark hues, suggesting the bounty of the natural landscape envisioned by the artist.
