The Dutch engraver Nicolas de Clerck, active between 1614 and 1625, made in Amsterdam in 1619 the engraved portrait of Emperor Matthias I of the Holy Roman Empire between 1612 and 1619, and king of Hungary. He succeeded his brother Rudolf II to the throne, who had been contemporary with Mihai Viteazu.
