Format in 4°, of 64+832 pages, a leaf for errata, and a map of Constantinople. In the title, a vignette drawn by C.A. Wagner and engraved by G.D. Henman. In the first 4 sheets, there is the translator's dedication letter, addressed to Maria Theresa, featuring an engraving by the same artists and representing the apotheosis of the Empress. This is followed by the preface of the German translator, the author's preface, the comparison of the Hegira years with those of the Christian era, and a table for the value of Turkish coins compared to the Saxon ones. At the beginning and end of the two parts of the book, there is a vignette signed by Mart. Tyroff. There are also several beautifully engraved initials, as well as the portraits of the sultans, in relation to each chapter dealing with them. At the end, there is: the table of contents, a record of foreign words, an alphabetical index of materials, and the life of Dimitrie Cantemir. This edition is adorned with a portrait of Cantemir, engraved by C. Fritzch in 1745, with the following inscription: "Demetrie Kantemir, of the h. russian. Reichs and in Moldova Prince, by the brand. Emperor Peter the Great of the high Senate member and secret hath." Below, among the subscription words, there is the coat of arms of the Cantemir family.
