Unifacial campaign thaler, issued during the reign of Johann Sigismund Zápolya as king of Hungary in the period 1556 - 1570, this presents on its single struck face, in a shield, the Zápolya family's coat of arms, a wolf sitting on two paws, profiled to the left, emerging from three hills. Behind the head there is a six-rayed star, and in front a crescent moon. On either side of the body is the millennial "15 - 62", and above the shield appears the legend "• I • E • R • V •".
