The Ad-Hoc Divan of Moldova was made up of 87 deputies, elected in five colleges: clergy, large landowners, small landowners, city representatives (entitled as town deputies) and village representatives (entitled as village deputies). The Ad-Hoc Assemblies, better known by the unofficial name of Ad-Hoc Divans, were consultative meetings convened on October 7, 1857 in Moldova and on October 8, 1857 in Wallachia, with the purpose of expressing the Romanian's will regarding the Union of the Principalities.
