27. Biedermeier chair, approx. 1840

The Biedermeier chair features a shovel-shaped backrest, which has inverted extensions, as well as fan shapes in the corners under the curved middle slats. The trapezoidal chair rests on the conical front legs and the sword-shaped hind legs. The chair has been re-upholstered with seagrass and features its original springs, as well as modern blue fabric. The chair shows signs of wear due to age. The backrest was broken, but it has been professionally restored.
