Viennese Biedermeier chairs feature a carved fan-shaped backrest. In addition, a curved frame lightly supports the backrest on either side. This is one of the most spectacular sets of Biedermeier chairs. The filigree construction of these aesthetic chairs certainly showcases the influence of the Danhauser workshop. The distinct fan shape of the backrest is a typical feature of the Danhauser style. The re-upholstered seats are removable and the four legs are tapered and slightly curved. In addition, the original seagrass upholstery is covered by a modern pink fabric. The metal pieces, part of a previous restoration, are used to consolidate the bottom for better stability. Viennese Biedermeier chairs feature finishing and shellac polishing and show minimal signs of wear due to age, with minor scratches.
