The gilded bronze piece made by the engraver Mauriciu Carniol on the occasion of the royal military manoeuvres in Roman in 1898, in which both King Carol I and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saxe-Meiningen and other European diplomats took part. The obverse of the medal shows the bust of the King, facing left and in the military dress of a general, while the reverse shows the coat of arms of the kingdom, the year and the name of the event, and an allegorical personification of the Romanian army.
