The story of bicycles produced by Ernesto Colnago begins in 1954, when, following a cycling training accident, he is forced to work from home, assembling rims, hubs, and pinions. In 1955, he meets Fiorenzo Magni, who was complaining of pain in the lower limbs, after a training session. Ernesto Colnago quickly noticed that the cranks were poorly assembled, adjusted them, and from that moment on he wanted him in his team for Giro d'Italia. Ernesto Colnago revolutionized the way bicycle forks were made. He invented cold bending of fork tubes, making them much more reliable.
