Queen Elisabeta appears lost in thought at Peles Castle, with her typewriter. There is an ample handwritten signature of the Queen in the lower right corner. On the back, at the top, there is a text written in black ink, signed and dated 18.12.1911, by Lieutenant N. Hurezeanu from the II Hunter Battalion "Queen Elisabeta", testifying that the photo was gifted to him by the Queen who was the honorary patron of the military unit. Among other duties, companies from the II Hunter Battalion had the mission of ensuring the security of the royal residences in Bucharest and Sinaia.
