Obverse Legend: [...] ꓲꙌMP[...] - VƌBO Obverse description: At the center, Mircea the Elder, crowned, without a cloak, represented frontally, holding a spear in his right hand. Reverse Legend: +PЄ[...]ꭒ nIλnB Reverse description: At the center, a horizontally shield, surmounted by a contour eagle helmet facing left, acting as a crest. The shield is split and has the first quarter full, and the second quarter shows four bands. Catalog reference: Romanian coins and banknotes (MBR), no. 209-212. The coin is one of the rarest issues put into circulation during the reign of Mircea the Elder, this being an issue of the ruler of Wallachia associated with a character named Petrusian or Petruslan. This Petrusian is not mentioned in the written sources of the time, its existence being attested by these currency types.
