The concert was organized at the Romanian Athenaeum by the Anglo-Romanian Society, under the patronage of King Carol II and Queen Maria, to celebrate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on May 12, 1937. The program opens with portraits of the four royal figures and a poem composed for this occasion by Adrian Maniu. The main cover is decorated with the emblem of the Anglo-Romanian Society which brings together the heraldic crests of Romania and Great Britain. The program was printed in a limited edition, to be handed out to concert guests.
