PROVENANCE
the collection of a Venezuelan diplomat, former ambassador to the RSR; later assigned to El Salvador, Brazil, USA, Chile, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Spain. This was the favourite work in his collection, the black stripe passed over the character's mouth symbolizing the restrictions of the communist era and the lack of freedom of speech.
