Alexandre Dumas son (1824-1895) was one of the most appreciated French playwrights of his time. Best known for the drama "The Lady with the Camellias", translated into Romanian after its production, he continued along the path opened by his father, who authored the adventures of the four fearless musketeers. He was elected member of the French Academy. The copy numbered 20 from the deluxe edition of only 40 copies printed on Japanese paper includes a handwritten dedication by the author on the back flyleaf. The binding is leather, with gilt hinge and the spine divided into six cartouches. The main cover is decorated with a princely coat of arms and the fourth cover has a central monogram consisting of two letters "F" superimposed over the letter "O".
