Benjamin Fundoianu left the country in 1923, settling in Paris, but kept friendly ties with Romanian writers and published constantly in Romanian avant-garde magazines such as "Integral", "Unu" and "Contimporanul". In fact, the only volume of poems published during his lifetime and "virtually" dedicated to Ion Minulescu, "the first bard of the Romanian lyrical revolt", entitled "Priveliști" ("Landscapes"), was published by Editura Națională in 1930, after he left the country.
