Născut la Schitomir în Ucraina, Bruno Zach şi-a făcut studiile la Viena, unde s-a şi stabilit. Reprezentant al curentului Art Deco vienez, lucrările sale ilustrează personaje surprinse în mișcare, dansând sau făcând sport. Atmosfera fascinantă a Orientului este surprinsă uneori prin intermediul personajelor în costume pitorești pictate policrom. Compoziţia dinamică și deosebit de expresivă este pictată la rece în nuanțe de albastru deschis, roşu, verde, argintiu și auriu.
