With a rigorous, yet slightly turbulent preparation, due to the lack of materials, he would perfect his drawing technique under the guidance of Hrandt Avakian, and afterwards he would join the Bucharest School of Fine Arts. His teachers would be Frederic Storck and Oscar Han, but the climax of his study years would be his work alongside Dimitrie Paciurea, precisely in the Maestro's studio, after winning the Paciurea scholarship in 1932.
