A absolvit, în 1973, Institutul de Arte Plastice Nicolae Grigorescu din Bucureşti, avându-i profesori pe Traian Brădean şi Ileana Balota. A abordat toate genurile, preferând, în ceea ce privește peisajele, tonurile ruginii ale toamnei sau griurile iernii.
Naturile sale statice sunt tributare profesorului său, Traian Brădean - structura schițată, dar robustă a desenului și cromatica vie fiind lecțiile acestuia.
