The work took part in the first personal exhibition that Nicolae Vermont organized with Ètefan Luchian in the halls of the Romanian Athenaeum. The work is reproduced in the monography "Nicolae Vermont", E.S.P.L.A., Angela Vrancea, 1957 at cat. 20, under the title "Silen adormit" ("Sleeping Silenus"). The work is reproduced in the monography "Nicolae Vermont", Amelia Pavel, Radu Ionescu, R.P.R. Academy Publishing House, Bucharest, 1958 at cat. 51, p. 67, under the title "Bachus".
