Ofițerii trupelor de cavalerie aveau, în timpul Regelui Ferdinand, astfel de săbii pe care le purtau la uniforma de zi.Teaca este din oțel cromat, iar lama, realizată din oțel de Toledo, ne oferă un decor vegetal stilizat tipic și două simboluri, unul al regelui, celălalt al Casei Regale. Mânerul este din bachelită neagră, la bază cu o bandă de frunze de stejar și se încheie cu un cap de acvilă.
