"Jeu de Marseille" is a game of cards inspired by the "Tarot de Marseille" created in 1941 by the Surrealist artists that had taken refuge in the Villa Air-Bel in Marseille. The game was published for the first time in the Surrealist magazine VVV in 1943 and exhibited at the New York Museum of Modern Art. In 1983, the game was published by André Dimanche and reproduced in the catalogue of the exhibition "La Planète affolée: Surréalisme, dispersion et influences, 1938-1947", in 1986.
