50. My Imaginary Friends

The world of RAID art is a very special world of the mind. A lush creativity, doubled by a native talent, a meticulousness and precision of details taken to the extreme, in a perfect contrast with a world incapable of understanding the complexity of his emotions and his own feelings. "The stories about me, about my city, about the meetings and the people I interact with are born from a line. I'm not interested in the relationship between shape and colour. I am interested in expressing basic human emotions: tragedy, joy, ecstasy, despair and so on ", said the artist. With an extraordinary talent for drawing, which he often does out of cerebral instinct, Raid's works must be looked at, deciphered and interpreted according to the depths of the meanings that dwell his soul. Line by line, geometric, abstract, the surrealism of his work cries out for a normality difficult to achieve and build in everyday life. They are enigmatic, disturbing, obsessive, lonely, but so deeply human.
