The work probably represents the most important oeuvre of the Enlightenment scholar, Greek-Catholic cleric and historian Petru Maior (1756-1821), in which he provides arguments for the construction of a national identity of Romanians in the Habsburg Empire. The covers are period, made of cardboard, with a leather spine. The copy is well-preserved.
