A founding member of the Prolog group, together with the painters Paul Gherasim, Constantin Flondor, Horea Paștina and Christian Paraschiv, he participates in exhibitions and creative camps organized in the country and abroad. Mihai Sârbulescu proposes an introspective, contemplative and symbolic painting, with some examples in this regard: "Queen Maria's Castle in Balchik", "Bell", "Stânjenei" or "Cerdac at Agapia". Regarding the work in question, a recurring theme of his, the center of interest is represented by the iris flowers and the vibrant colors of these on the white background of the composition. The stem has three buds of purple irises, of which only one of the three is blooming and open. The blooming purple iris is seen to have rich and beautifully open petals alongside a few shades of yellow at the base of the stem. In symbolism, the iris flower is associated with hope, faith and royalty.
