Having an artistic activity mostly manifested in France, where he settled in 1982, George Mazilu stands out with his painting marked by contrasts. Making a fusion between Northern Renaissance, approached in new dimensions and surrealism, the artist gives rise to an abstract painting, gradually constructed in representative images, a process which allows him to transform the abstract into a certain harmonious state, where complementary ambiances and the chiaroscuro are predominant.
