Count Tekeli was one of the leaders of the anti-Habsburg group within the Hungarian nobility who opposed the annexation of Hungary and Transylvania by the Habsburg Empire. The work mainly captures this moment from the end of the 17th century. The volume opens with an engraving that depicts the author's portrait and his heraldic crest. The binding is of its time, made of leather, with the spine damaged.
