The two sheets, bearing the holographic signatures of Queen Marie, Princes Carol and Nicholas, as well as Princesses Elisabeta, Maria and Ileana, originate from the personal album belonging to Baron Robert Stuker (1863-1940), Swiss historian, interpreter, diplomat and teacher, a specialist in foreign languages, who was appointed as a tutor at the Royal Court of Greece, during the reign of King George I. Later on, Stuker was appointed Court librarian, as well as the King's personal secretary. Stuker accompanied the members of the Greek Royal Family on various trips, undertook sensitive diplomatic missions and became the King's consultant. In 1924, during his service by the Greek Royal Family, Pope Pius XI appointed protestant Stuker as Master of Ceremony and interpreter in Vatican City, titles he was bound to hold until 1935. In the following years, the album entered his custody. Jurg Stuker (1914-1988), Swiss antique dealer and founder of the Stuker auction house in Bern, Robert Stuker's stepson. The postcards featuring the members of the Royal Family were edited in Bucharest in the 1920s.
