The current pages were detached from the personal album belonging to Baron Robert Stuker (1863-1940), Swiss historian, interpreter, diplomat and teacher, a specialist in foreign languages, who was appointed as a tutor at the Royal Court of Greece during the reign of King George I. Later on, Stuker was appointed Court librarian, as well as the King's personal secretary. Stuker accompanied the members of the Greek Royal Family on various trips, undertook sensitive diplomatic missions and became the King's consultant. In 1924, during his service by the Greek Royal Family, Pope Pius XI appointed protestant Stuker as Master of Ceremony and interpreter in Vatican City, titles he was bound to hold until 1935. The album belonged to Jurg Stuker (1914-1988), Swiss antique dealer and founder of the Stuker auction house in Bern, Robert Stuker's stepson. The two original press photographs are accompanied by the holographic signatures of the Voivod of Alba Iulia and future King Michael of Romania, as well as of Princess Ileana, Michael's aunt.
