Important female character in the struggle for supporting the war effort and national unity. She was the one who initiated the building of the Mărășești mausoleum. She was the president of the Orthodox Society for Romanian Women, an important figure of the feminist movement during the interwar period, vastly cultured. In 1925, at the International Women's Congress in Washington she was elected vice-president of the International Women's Council. In 1927, in Rome, at the Sufragette Alliance Congress, she initiated the establishment of the Small Women's Understanding Balkan Association. In the same year she founded the "Woman's House", an important social work centre. She maintained dozens of schools, dormitories and libraries.
