The period spent in Curtea de ArgeÈ will be for Theodorescu-Sion the main source of inspiration for what will develop as the main subject in the themes with national specificity. From the architecture of the place, to the customs, beliefs, myths and Subcarpathian ballads of the ArgeÈ basin, all will be embodied in Sion's painting of 1920-1928.
