Created after the First World War and stretching until the end of 1977, Ciucurencu's work is devoted to a luminous vision, together with synthesis, analysis and construction. From 1932 onwards, the artist was regularly present at official state exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions. One of the representations with which he will stand out will be his personal exhibition in 1934, at the "Mozart" hall, when he will be appreciated for his personality and intuition as a great colourist. The success of the exhibition brought him the first collectors, among them Krikor H. Zambaccian, Iosif Dona, Garabet Avachian or Leon Laserson etc., who often visited his studio. In 1943 we find Ciucurencu in full exhibition activity, being present at the Official Salon, at group exhibitions in the country, as well as at the Romanian Art Exhibition in Helsinki. (G.M.)
