Starting from 1912, Samuel Mützner pays particular attention to gender scenes. He executes an extensive series of portraits depicting feminine characters in various situations. Mützner depicts both the countryside woman, as well as the urban space woman. Each of them is assigned specific elements and is placed in different contexts. In the portraits compositions, he approaches his subject in a far more plastic way. His painting style is thorough, as he illustrates thorough details and uses the line with a perfectly accomplished skilfulness.
