On the obverse is the bust of Patriarch Miron Cristea, left profile, wearing a camilafca on his head. On the edge, we have the legend: "I.P.SS.DDD.MIRON·CRISTEA·FIRST·PATRIARCH·OF·ROMANIA". On the left arm section of the patriarch, there is the engraver's signature "G.STANESCU". On the reverse is an allegorical composition, a book with the inscription on the spine "SF.SCRIPTURA", and on the cover, the Coat of Arms of the Romanian Patriarchy. Above, there is the patriarch's monogram, under two crossed archbishop's staffs, surmounted by an archbishop's miter, with the legend "1868-1938". On the background, four church buildings with the inscriptions: at the top "TOPLITA" and "JERUSALEM", at the bottom "MAGLAVIT" and "JORDAN". Also at the bottom, centrally, we have the inscription "FEED MY SHEEP". On the edge, is the circular inscription: "OUR·MASTER·PATRIARCH·MIRON·LORD·PRESERVE·HIM·FOR·MANY·YEARS".
