The lot consists of the following items: 1. Tin box, with two metal labels applied on one of the sides. One label refers to A.E. Kelsey, a surgeon in the British Navy. The second label refers to the manufacturer of the piece, intended for the British navy and army. The piece has been restored. 2. French military bicorn, lower-ranking naval officer, with classic French rosette, manufactured by Maison Nicolas, Paris, 1853 model, updated in 1870, the navy of the Third French Republic, in a good state of preservation. It is stored in its box made of padded wood with paper. Inside, the box bears the stamp of the French manufacturer of the bicorn, previously mentioned. On the outside, the name of the British surgeon is written on one side. The exterior of the box has been recently redone. 3. Pair of epaulettes for the uniform of the lower ranking naval officers, manufactured by Maison Nicolas, Paris, 1870 model, the navy of the Third French Republic. The manufacturer's name is inscribed on the pins used to attach the epaulettes to the uniform. 4. Three pieces of fabric from the corresponding French uniform, probably from the sleeve area of the tunic. 5. Wooden box, restored, on whose lid the name of the British surgeon and the label of the British manufacturer are inscribed. 6. All the above-mentioned items are kept in a large wooden chest, also inscribed with the name of the British surgeon, a recent replica. (AC)
