Photographer, visual artist and image director, Alex Gâlmeanu specialises in editorial, advertising, fashion and experimental photography. He is known for his numerous photographic portraits of Romanian personalities, collaborations with national and international publications, as well as national and international advertising campaigns for established brands. Gâlmeanu is also known for a number of personal projects including the "People I Know" and "Anastasia" photographic series, as well as the "Museum of Photography" project. He published his first photograph at the age of 15 in 1993, an image that appeared inside "Salut" magazine. The project "People I Know" was exhibited in the solo exhibition at MNAC in 2005. This article is part of a collaboration for Esquire magazine, translated into Romanian.
