Jesus Christ is represented sitting on a great golden chair, which forms the symmetry axis of the composition. As Emperor and High Priest, he wears a sakkos with rich gold embroideries at the neckline, on the sleeves and in the lap. He blesses with the right hand and holds the bishop's rod in his left hand, which is decorated with two serpent heads looking at each other, with a cross between them. On his head, he wears a hierarchic mitre and there is an aura around the head. Up, in the middle, the initials IS HR and the inscription High Priest appear written with black Greek characters. On the edge, the icon is painted with a double black and golden border.
