Although he had a short reign between 1766 and 1768, the Phanariote ruler Alexandru Scarlat Ghica stood out for the reorganization of the Greek printing house at the Archbishopric of Bucharest, the main official printing house of the country. The reorganization involved primarily the modernization of it by bringing new and more efficient typography installations from France. At the same time, also at the initiative of the ruler, an urban regulation of the city of Bucharest was being developed. At Râmnic, between 1733 and 1862, seven editions of the Liturgy book appeared. The copy is part of the edition published in 1767, under the episcopate of Bishop Ignatie. The binding is of the epoch. The covers are made of wooden boards covered in leather, with brass and leather fittings. The copy has been restored, is in a good state of conservation, and is complete.
