Now more than ever, the analysis of the visual representation of characters in comic strips is needed, the urban pop culture reflecting both the socio-political realities in which we live, as well as the desires and aspirations of social classes, anticipating a possible evolution of political-social connections. The examination of comic strips should not be limited to who buys, where they buy, but also what kind of characters are sketched and how, in what kind of actions they are involved, as Baudrillard claimed, the contemporary individual is subject to a number of images more than ever in history, and the diversity and rapid succession of these creates the sensation of another reality, making it impossible to separate the simulation from reality.
