"Trompeta Carpaţilor" ("Trumpet of the Carpathians") was a political and literary gazette, published between March 1, 1865 and January 18, 1877, in Bucharest, under the editorship of Cezar Bolliac. It appeared in place of the suppressed newspaper "Buciumul" (1862-1864), whose numbering it continued. For most of its existence, the editor of the newspaper was Nicolae Basarabescu (August 1866 - August 1871), followed by Theodor Augustin (1872 - 1873). When Cezar Bolliac went on archaeological digs in the summer, Dimitrie Bolintineanu, who signed with his birth name, Cosmat, was the editor. Collaborators included: Cezar Bolliac, Dimitrie Bolintineanu, Ion Heliade-Rădulescu, Grigore Alexandrescu, Alexandru Macedonski, C.D. Aricescu, M. Zamphirescu, Th. Văcărescu, Vasile Maniu etc.. A festive version of "Trompa Carpaţilor", in a limited edition, appeared in Bucharest on December 23, 1913, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Cezar Bolliac's birth.
