The Organic Regulation of the Principality of Moldavia, introduced after 1832 at the wish of the Russian Empire and with the consent of the Ottoman Empire, introduced a modern institutional system and, at the same time, strengthened Russia's protective power over Moldavia. The regulation was based on the principle of the separation of powers in the state, spoke about the creation of a school system in Romanian, a modern health system and other.
