Identification elements of iconographic and stylistic order: The icon is a feast holder and was part of the feast frame of an iconostasis, of which seven have been preserved in the collection. The anonymous painter, in illustrating the Holy Trinity scene, has reduced the composition of the scene to the rendering of essential elements. The Holy Trinity - God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son - are depicted above some clouds: on the right, God with the scepter of power, and on the left, Jesus Christ with the Cross, both supporting, between them, the globus cruciger. In the central, symmetrical axis, the Dove of the Holy Spirit is depicted, against the red-ocher background of the icon. The color scheme is similar to that of icons from the same series. Identification elements of technical order: The wooden support of the painting is made of a single panel, with a median crossbar. Conclusions: The painting of the icon fits within the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. According to the evolution of post-Brancovan painting, practiced in local painting workshops, in this case, the presence of elements of rustic simplification of the painting (A.D.) is noteworthy.
