Iconographic and stylistic identification elements: The royal doors are made up of two panels, with a stop in the middle, with the upper part finished in a polylobed accolade. They are carved, perforated and gilded, and the decoration consists of vines, ample flowers of baroque crafting and images of two trumpeting angels. In the lower part, the doors are carved, perforated and gilded, the decoration being made with the motif of crossed baguettes. The central panel of the door is roughened and painted with the scene of the Annunciation: in an oval medallion is represented the Archangel Gabriel, and in another, the Virgin Mary; the medallions are defined by a golden frame. To the right and left of the scene are represented, standing, between two golden colonettes, the prophets David and Solomon. The Annunciation scene unfolds on a more relaxed and realistic architectural background, suggesting the buildings of a city (Nazareth). Technical identification elements: The wood is carved and perforated, and on the edges appears the motif formed from crossed baguettes, with applied floral decoration, as well as painted oval medallions. Conclusions: The composition and decoration of the royal doors fit into the end of the 18th century in Wallachia, the final period of the evolution of post-Brâncovenesc painting, illustrating the premises of the transition from traditional painting to western influence painting, easel painting. The sculpture is eclectic by combining decorative motifs from different styles and periods (A.D.).
